Memorial Day weekend is one of my very favorite times. Prairie Home Companion broadcasts live from Wolftrap on Saturday. There’s something about being there with my family in the midst of all the other folks in the audience, especially for those few minutes just before the broadcast actually begins and there is singing (and usually a little dancing), that is mesmerizing. I’ve long envied the performers’ passion for their work – and now I am lucky to love what I do too . . .
