Lyon Eyes

This fish. I’m in love.

I’ve been working on some new pieces and whenever I’m having a bit of an off day, I come back to my little (and not so little) fish. They are so fun to make – with funky fins and tails, expressive eyes and mouths . . .

This is my new favorite guy. He’ll be with me at the Lyon Park Community Center not-just-a-CRAFT-FAIR on Saturday, November 21. I can’t wait to see their newly renovated space! So glad to be back! And a little sad that I have to skip out early. The event runs from 9 AM – 3 PM but due to a family thing, I’ll be packing up around 1 PM. Come check us out, get your first look at the new digs, and treat yourself to some delectable baked goods and gourmet (Parmesan Reggiano anyone?) foods. It’s sure to be a fun day – hope to see you there!

Mugs and Fishes

Well, that’s almost right given Valentine’s Day is coming up.
I’ve been on a mug making and mini-fish making kick of late. I guess the mugs came from getting ready for the holiday craft bazaar at Grounded Coffee Shop (yum, yum) last year and realizing I had only ONE mug ready for selling! At a coffee shop.

The fish are something that are a fun distraction while I’m waiting for a piece to be ready to trim, add a handle, or just have some time where I need to put off thinking for a bit. I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do with all of them . . .
